Error: Memory Full (McCormick Place Redux)

Competition entry for the 2011 Burnham Prize. Intersecting grids, glass enclosed corridors, the play between solid and void: each asks the user to reorient herself to her context. These spaces await their programming: exhibition spaces, winter gardens, or galleries; residential, leisure, or commercial. The project draws the user in and returns the lakefront to the city, allowing for infinite expansion but demanding constant re-evaluation.
